What type of mug for you? E.g. travel, Plastic, China?

Coffee drinkers do love their coffee mugs! In fact, many are quite choosy about which mugs they will or will not use. Coffee drinkers are also notoriously possessive about protecting their cups from oblivious poachers. Of course, there are tea drinkers who have the same characteristics so they will be included in this reference.

It may be difficult to find the perfect coffee mug as a promotional product, particularly if it is intended for use in several different scenarios. For example, a morning coffee mug may be perfect for the breakfast table but would never work in the car and could easily be too small for the office. That’s why there are so many options in the world of mugs.

Porcelain mugs are the most popular for home and office use. They are heavyweight, reusable, and keep the coffee hot for a long period of time. The only downside is that they can break and are often hot to the touch. If this is a concern for you, a hard plastic mug may be the answer. It doesn’t keep the coffee as hot but it will be cooler to the touch and harder to break.

Travel mugs can pose a dilemma. There are a wide variety of sizes to choose from, 12-20 oz. seems to work well for most users. The material is something to be considered. There are standard plastic travel mugs, standard and insulated. There are also stainless steel and thermos type mugs for those with a longer commute.
