Make your brand visible

Chances are that you’ve spent many hours, days or weeks deciding on the perfect name, logo, location and overall image. Your brand is an important piece of your business – it’s how people recognize you. Make sure that no matter what you do, that brand is visible.

Think of a brand as a street sign or road map. It won’t do anybody much good if it’s illegible. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what can happen when putting your brand on promotional items. Manufacturers of promotional products by and large want to do a good job when it comes to making your business shine. However, they can’t always make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear. These manufacturers typically offer guidelines and advice about promotional products, so it’s important to listen.

There are a great number of technical issues that are involved in printing promotional products. Fortunately for you, it’s not your job to worry about that. There are three things, however, that you do need to be concerned with in order to make your brand as attractive and visible as possible.

1. Colour - Colour can be tricky, especially if your company logo has more than two colours. Each colour will incur a separate charge which can quickly kill your budget. There are options such as turning your logo into a one colour.

2. Size – The image size on promotional objects tend to be rather small. Make sure your logo and name will fit while remaining visible.

3. Information – People tend to put entirely too much information on an item. Not only does this make it hard to read but diminishes the appeal.
